...fellowship.

I tried posting this via email from camp and it sort of worked! The text didn't come out, but I think it said something like "I'm thankful for a weekend of challenge and fellowship with other young adult Christians. I've caught up with old friends and met new people who's names I've immediately forgotten, and it's all so encouraging."

...time.

Some Friday evenings I'm still scoffing dinner and printing bible studies 5 minutes before everyone turns up for youth group. This Friday though? I have all day to organise tonight and prepare for the next month of youth events. I'm grateful for the time I have today.

...friends and coffee.

I love coffee, even if it doesn't love me back. I'm so thankful for the time I have this semester to hang out with my friends, and for spontaneous trips for good coffee.

...Lambert Ave.

I'm sad to be leaving the Lambert Avenue house. Quiet street, nice (if a little crazy) neighbours, little sunroom for my vegie garden. I'm grateful for the few months I had there, and thankful that I found a new place so easily.

...north-facing rooms.

My new bedroom faces north. It's so sunny and warm. It makes such a difference to wake up to!

...sunlight.

Considering how cold it was yesterday, today is tropical! It feels like a northerly wind or something, but I sat outside in the sun this morning and drank my tea. Didn't even need my jacket!

...the heater in my car.

It was FREEZING this morning. Car was covered in ice. Luckily, my lovely car has a lovely heater and I was toasty warm in next to no time.

...my lovely parents.

My parents don't really like me taking photos of them, so this is an old one. I moved house today, with much help from my lovely parents. After we'd shifted everything, Dad and I went drawer shopping while my especially lovely mother cleaned my new bedroom for me. I think she suspects I never clean, because of all my allergies. I do, it's just a pretty miserable task.

...a fantastic night at youth group.

Not that it's usually bad, but sometimes I come home from youth group completely exhausted. Tonight though? I am pumped! And excited! We had a guys/girls night and it was so much fun hanging out with the girls, decorating cupcakes and making earrings. I spent the whole drive home thanking God :)

...my bedroom door.

I love my housemates, but I'm thankful that I can shut my bedroom door and be in my own space. Plus, in the midst of packing, my room is horrendously messy. I 'm so thankful that I can shut the door and hide it!

...spontaneous movie nights/new friends.

Gill and I danced our way through social soccer this evening, then when she missed her bus I dragged her back to my place for dinner. We bonded over couscous and musicals. So fun!

...boots in winter.

I got these maybe three months ago? Half price. And I reckon I've gotten at least two months wear out of them since then. They're cute and comfy and warm and I love them. Boots in winter are the best.

Yes, I am a shallow girl.

One of my inspirations.

And she's a proper photographer so her photos are beautiful!

...experimental success.

Got a bit inventive with my cupcakes yesterday, because I didn't have any eggs. These are apple and cinnamon and they actually worked! Good for my ego and everyone's tastebuds :)

...waking up to the sun.

The benefits of my parents living in the middle of nowhere is that this is the first thing I see in the morning when I go home to visit. I always feel more awake in the morning when I can see sunlight.

...time to hang out with uni friends.

I quite like the laid back Friday arvo engi barrels. Not the crazy ones, but when everyone chills with a sausage and a beer and chats. It's nice.

...hot water.

Our hot water cylinder broke earlier this week. The repair guy was here less than an hour after we got home and found the AWFUL smell, and a few hours later we had hot water again. So blessed. How can I complain about the smell when most of the world doesn't have any kind of running water at all?

...being left-handed.

Ok, this is kind of an odd one, but allow me to explain... I'm doing a first aid course at the moment, and twice today the instructor said 'because most people are right-handed they ____ '. Both times it made injuries more severe (because of the placement of the heart or spleen or whatever). Probably there are things made worse by being left-handed, but still.
Plus, it's cool to be different :)

...beautiful winter days.

I actually took this yesterday. Today wasn't quite so beautiful. But I am thankful... as much as I complain about Tassie winters, we have so many beautiful sunny days. And it's not really that cold. Yesterday was actually quite warm!

...streetlights.

My friends picked me up at 4am this morning to go watch the world cup final. It was actually quite warm outside, for the middle of night in the middle of winter. Quite thankful for the streetlights (lamps? which is the Australian term?) as I waited out on the road.
